Note: You need to have the relevant permission to be able to run data backups for your instance of RightsZone.

1. Navigate to Setup

Click on the Cog icon in the top right hand side of the screen, then click Setup, this wil ltake you to the setup screen.

2. In the Quick Find box on the left hand panel, type ‘Data’ and then click the Data Export option when it appears in the menu. This will take you to the data export screen.

3.  Select Schedule export and then set up your export as required, using the checkboxes to determine wither you want to include attached files, images etc. (our recommendation is that you select all the checkboxes to make sure you have captured everything) and the frequency and timing of your export. Click Save to save your export.

4. The The next scheduled update will show on the Data Export screen.

You have 48 hours to download your back up file after the export has run, so select your days/dates bearing in mind when you will be available to pick up and save the backup file.

5. When your backup has run you will receive an email from Salesforce with a link back to the Export screen where zipfile(s) containing your backup will be waiting.

6.  You should retrieve your backup data promptly as the data is only stored for 48 hours (including weekends) before being deleted. We would advise saving your backup files somewhere securely and in line with any guidelines from your technology team.
